Who We Are
Yoga Angels International (YAI) started its journey in 1997 by introducing yoga to schools, corporations, and recreation centers across California. With a mission to promote wellness, YAI specializes in designing premium yoga and wellness programs for both adults and children. Our dedicated team of highly trained and certified yoga teachers prioritize sustainability and are committed to delivering exceptional self-development programs worldwide.
Our Style: It's All in the Details
At Yoga Angels International (YAI), our unique style of yoga draws inspiration from the teachings of Iyengar Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. B.K.S. Iyengar, a renowned yoga teacher, emphasized the importance of precise alignment in his teachings. He once said, "Yoga allows you to find a new kind of freedom that you may not have known even existed." This quote encapsulates the essence of Iyengar Yoga, which focuses on precise alignment and therapeutic yoga.
Yoga Angels teaches yoga that heals, realigns, and nurtures the body, mind, and balances the nerves. Our emphasis on the eight limbs of yoga incorporates meditation and pranayama (breath control) throughout our practice and training program.
In addition to the teachings of Iyengar Yoga, we also incorporate the flowing movements of Vinyasa into our practice. Vinyasa is often associated with Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar), flow yoga, and dynamic transitions, symbolizing new beginnings and the sequential order of poses.
YAI embraces a distinct approach to yoga, combining precise alignment with graceful flow, radiating poise and grace. Our Yoga Angels Style is characterized by the perfect fusion of precise alignment and fluid movement, creating a practice that embodies grace and poise. We meticulously pay attention to each posture, excelling at breaking down the intricacies of each pose. This allows practitioners to develop body intelligence and cultivate a heightened sense of self-awareness.

Yoga Angels Refresher Course
Stay connected with the Yoga Angels Community and deepen your practice with our refresher course. Each Yoga Angels Teacher has the opportunity to revisit all or parts of our training program. Refreshers are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

At just 16 years old, Subhadra entered the corporate world in New York as a bank teller. Despite becoming a mom by age 20, she defied all odds and quickly rose to become a head teller. Alongside her banking responsibilities, Subhadra took on additional jobs and pursued her passion for health and fitness.
After a year of juggling three jobs at age 21, Subhadra realized the need for a change in her life. Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, she embarked on a transformative journey as a fitness instructor and even worked as an exotic dancer while attending Mercy Community College. Through unwavering dedication, Subhadra carved her own path in the health and fitness industry.
Today, Subhadra's vision and determination continue to drive Yoga Angels International. She not only established the organization but also founded the Yoga Angels Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to bringing the healing power of yoga and wellness to underserved communities. Additionally, Subhadra created Conscious Superstars Entertainments (CSS Entertainments), a platform that celebrates conscious artists and performers using their talents to inspire positive change.

She moved to California and discovered yoga at age 25. Yoga became a source of healing and personal transformation for both Subhadra and her five-year-old daughter Radha. While attending Los Angeles City College Subhadra met George Pagan who introduced her to the first yoga pose and classes. They later had a son who they call Krishna Pagan. Subhadra later had two children a boy name Ganesh and a girl name Kali-Lakshmi.
