Yoga Angels History

Founded in 1997, the mission of Yoga Angels™ is to teach, inspire, and empower children and adults through the art and philosophy of yoga. We specialize in kids and family yoga. Yoga Angels method is unique as it’s one of the only places you can get a certification to teach both kids and adults!

The Yoga Angels method was founded by Subhadra Bowman mother of four, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and yoga teacher. Yoga Angels is dedicated to educate through yoga creating skilled and experienced yoga teachers while sharing yoga with kids, families and the community.

The inception of Yoga Angel’s began with classes for kids as an after school program at Gardner Street Elementary in Hollywood twice per week. The program was a success and the classes were increased to five days per week.
Yoga Angels quickly developed a relationship with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). We now have a history of teaching yoga in schools within LAUSD in the City of West Hollywood since 1997. We offer yoga classes for kids, youth, families and the community within schools public, private and charter in gyms, yoga studios, recreational parks, group homes, churches, temples, Boys and Girls Clubs and also the YMCA.
